Why do we refill fire extinguisher?
Used or Partially Discharged: If a fire extinguisher has been used or has been partially discharged, it needs to be refilled to ensure it is fully charged and ready for use in case of an emergency.
Regular Maintenance: Fire extinguishers require regular maintenance to ensure they function properly. This includes checking the pressure, inspecting the hose and nozzle, and ensuring that all components are in good working order. If any issues are found during the inspection, refilling or servicing may be necessary.
Periodic Inspections: Fire extinguishers should undergo periodic inspections to comply with safety regulations and standards. These inspections may reveal the need for refilling if the pressure is not within the recommended range.
Expiration of Contents: The contents of a fire extinguisher can expire over time. Even if a fire extinguisher has not been used, the chemicals or agents inside may lose their effectiveness over an extended period. Refilling is necessary to replace the expired contents with fresh ones.
